Psalm 100:1

I will bless the Lord at all times,
His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

Praise is not for human beings only. Animals too praise the Lord! A group of scientists conducted an experiment and collected a thousand crickets. When the technician lowered the channel, he heard the crickets sing “Hallelujah, Hallelujah”.

The big whale swimming in the channels of the sea sing “Praise God, Praise God”. Let everything that has breath, praise the Lord (Psalm 150:6).

We use Christian music to praise God. We do so in spoken word, in song, in dance and in other forms of worship. Do we understand what it means to praise God? Do we know what we are doing when we offer the sacrifice of praise? (Hebrews 13:15).

When we praise God we give thanks. The Bible is filled with the language of gratitude. I wrote a song based on Psalm 118:1. The title of the song is “O Give thanks unto the Lord; for He is good: for His mercy endureth forever.”

Christian music also teaches us the relationship between thanksgiving and praise. By Him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name (Hebrews 13:15).

Praise also involves joy. Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise (Psalm 98:4). Christian praise music makes us forget the difficult life that we face daily. It also gives us hope and strategy on how to overcome our problems.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue; and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof (Proverbs 18:21). Be careful what you say. God listen to all our words.

In Daniel 10:12 the Bible says; then He said to me, do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words.

Praise and worship is our way of adoring our Lord and Savior through Christian music.
